Project Description
Aantarpat is an auspicious cloth used in Indian Weddings during the ritual of Kanyadaan. The symbols drawn on this cloth like Lord Ganesha, Tulsi and a Cow are considered extremely auspicious for the newly wedded couples. They symbolize the blessings of the elders and auspiciousness of the marriage. The artist has also taken the handprints of the bride’s parents as a sign of blessings and best wishes by the parents to the new couple for their new life. This cloth can be saved a memory for their special day.
